Loyal, loving, gentle giant
When we first met, I could hold you in my hand. You were so small with the biggest brown eyes. A ball of fluff that brought so much joy into my life.
We had seven brilliant years together, you were always by my side, through thick and thin you never gave in.
After 5 years living in the UK, you emigrated with me to Cyprus where you lived happily for a further 2 years.
I could not ask for a better pet, or loyal friend. You were so gentle in everything you did. You grew up with my two boys and mothered them continously. They will miss you so much.
You were always so strong and healthy, I never thought you would leave me alone. When illness struck just 6 weeks ago, I thought i had lost you then, but you fought to stay with us, and almost won your fight.
The day you left me, you took a piece of my heart with you. I hope that wherever you are, you know that you will always be in my heart.
I know not many people get to say goodbye, so I will always cherish the chance I had. With your head laid on my lap and a kiss to your brow, I said goodbye my darling and thank you for all the love we had shared.

From the first day I set eyes on you, I knew that you were special.
How special I did not realise, you were so loving, so giving and ever so gentle...... A giant with an even bigger heart.
You captured a place in heart forever, a place where only you can go.
I have had dogs in the pat who I have loved and lost, but you were different, your character, your personality, everything about you was special.
You only had to look at me with those big brown eyes and everything became clear.
I could see the love returned and knew that you would always protect us.
The day you were taken away from me was one of the hardest days of my life.
My best friend had gone and a hole in my heart replaced him.
I hope my baby that wherever you are that you are in peace and still watch over us.
You will always be with me today, tomorrow........forever in my heart.

To my dearest family,
some things I'd like to say.
But first of all, to let you know,
that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from the Bridge.
Here I dwell with God above.
Here there's no more tears of sadness.
Here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy
just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I am with you
every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you
when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me
and He said, "I welcome you.
It's good to have you back again,
you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family,
They'll be here later on."
God gave me a list of things,
that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list,
was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night
the day's chores put to flight,
God and I are closest to you...
in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth,
and all those loving years,
because you are only human,
they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry:
it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers,
unless there were some rain.
I wish that I could tell you
all that God has planned.
If I were to tell you,
you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain,
though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now,
than I ever was before.
There are rocky roads ahead of you
and many hills to climb;
But together we can do it
by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy
and I'd like it for you too;

One Year Today
Louis it would have been one year today since you were taken from me.
The hurt gets easier to take as each day passes.
The memories get stronger and stronger.
I still cannot get used to you not being at the bottom of the stairs of a morning, looking at me, smiling and wagging that little stump of yours.
You were my life and I miss you so much baby.
I know that you have sent Crystal to us to ease the pain, and for that I thank you, but she will never replace the love we shared.

I came home from work; after a long hard day
but the house felt so empty; I couldn't stay
So I grabbed my coat; and hopped in the car
then drove to the park; it wasn't to far
I walked down the path; and spotted a bench
then it started to rain; guess who got drenched
I dried the bench; then sat down to rest
I looked up in the tree; and saw a bird's nest
I watched two dogs; take a break for a drink
as my mind started wandering; I started to think
I thought about times; from back in the past
when the fun we had; would last and last
The kid's would see us; as we walked in the park
and they'd come a runnin; as you let out a bark
With your friendly bark; and wagging tail
off you'd all go; play on the trails
You were so kind and gentle; never a pest
in everyone's book; you were simply the best
Always there; for one in need
as you did your best; to do a good deed
I got up from the bench; and walked to my car
then drove back home; it wasn't very far
I walked in the house; and pulled up a chair
then opened a window; to get some fresh air
I went to the kitchen; to get a drink
then sat in the chair; and began to think

Happy Birthday My Baby
Today would have been your birthday and as with every year you would have wanted a present to unwrap with your teeth. You were such a powerful dog yet so gentle at heart. A gentle giant to the end always putting my feelings first, ever loyal and such a sweetheart. You can never be replaced, my love for you will always live on in my heart, where you have etched your name forever. Sweet dreams my baby love mum xxx
